How Amity Nakamoto was born
It all started in a kitchen in Slovakia
One day in 2021 we were sitting with Gabriel in my kitchen in Slovakia and talking about what Bitcoin really means to us. Of course we ended up discussing the word “freedom”.
We asked each other:
“How does the world look like when we truly have freedom?
How does it look like when people use sound money globally on a daily basis?
How will it look like when Bitcoin wins?”
We imagined a world were people cooperate more efficiently, world with more peace because governments can not fund endless wars. A world where sound money brings more harmony, friendship and fellowship.
The Age of Amity
There is a word in english. Very archaic one, not very used.
“AMITY”
Meaning fellowship, friendship, cooperation, peace and harmony.
That was exactly how we saw Bitcoin.
We see Bitcoin as a technology that can bring us to the era where people cooperate more thanks to global sound money. Where we have more peace and harmony without coercion.
Bitcoin can bring us to the age of better cooperation, harmony and fellowship.
To the age of amity. The AmityAge.
That is why we decided to name our company AmityAge. To see every day in our company name where we are heading and what Bitcoin is bringing to us.
Amity Nakamoto is born
And who is this young girl that we have in our logo?
She is Amity Nakamoto, the granddaughter of Satoshi.
She is the young blood that will guide people on the Bitcoin education journey and will help to increase the world’s monetary literacy.
She was born to fix the money. Just like Bitcoin.
Satoshi disappeared and left us with an amazing tool.
Amity is the one who will now carry the torch of wisdom and education for the next generations.
She is on a mission to accelerate bitcoinization.
We brought her to life to help us do the right things, navigate the path and to show us how to help the Bitcoin ecosystem as much as we can.
Long live, dear Amity.
